Coastal Rowing Noosa

Welcome to Coastal Rowing Noosa – formed in 2021 to promote coastal boat rowing along the beautiful Noosa River and Laguna Bay off Noosa Heads. As the venue for the inaugural Australian Coastal Rowing Championships in August 2022, we are here to introduce you to a sport that can be fun, social, wild, technical and competitive – all in one day!

While we are a new club, many existing members have been rowing coastal boats for 16 years and are looking forward to sharing their love of rowing, riding waves and experiencing nature with other rowers keen to try a more exciting and varied form of rowing.

We currently operate with two quad, one double and two single coastal rowing sculls and can be found on summer mornings at 5.30am (later in winter) launching off the river beach just east of the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club on Gympie Tce, Noosaville

We have a mixed membership with a range of ages represented and we would love to host you for a casual row if you are a holiday rower. We are also keen to welcome new members and volunteers interested in participating in or supporting a sport that has been included in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028 and may well be part of the Brisbane Olympics in 2032.
